Description

Our client is a rapidly growing business within the environmental and sustainability sector currently seeking a Site Manager to manage and control the receipt, storage, processing, client reporting and onward transfer of waste and end-of-waste materials and all site vehicle movements.

As Site Manager you are responsible for the safe compliant and optimised operation of fixed and mobile plant and site activities associated with managing a licensed waste facility so engineering experience would be an advantage. You will motivate and manage a small team to achieve targets work proactively with colleagues across the business and ensure efficient operation of the site.

Site Manager Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and promote a safety culture ensuring Health and Safety policies are implemented and best practice is observed in all areas.
  • Manage efficient and optimised performance of our recycling plant equipment.
  • Consistently review standard operating methods identifying and implementing improvements to safety productivity and profitability.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are complied with; including but not limited to waste acceptance processing material to achieve end-of-waste status where applicable and onward transfer of waste and end-of-waste products.
  • Accurate recording and reporting of quantities and classification of material received processed stored and transferred off site.
  • Work within operational budgets and improve efficiencies.

Site Manager Experience and Qualifications required:

  • SMSTS Qualification Desirable
  • Proven Experience in a similar role including delegation decision making and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Environmental/Sustainability or Waste sector
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
